I have heard other places are nearby cheaper as well. Just get there early as it fills quickly. Also they charge 30.00 to park in their lot, dont! There is a small sports shop right next to it, north same side as the park, where you can park for 15. To start make sure you buy tickets online as they are 1/2 the price than at the gate (35 instead of 69). I came throughout the years when it was called Storytown and the original owner made it an affordable family attraction. While we had a great day, it was the first time for 2 of the boys, I was disgusted by how much of a money trap this park has become. Took my 3 grandkids and daughter in law to the Great Escape. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a good time, and the kids had a blast though. The other negative experience we had was that the concrete and walkways in the pool area were extremely hot and sharp! You should consider wearing water shoes in Hurricane Harbor. The park was a little busy but nothing like it usually is. All it is doing is making it so families can't return. I don't know how people can afford to go there and feed their families and keep them hydrated! Everyone knows that a case of water only costs $5.00 so they are increasing the price by over 400%. The refillable cups were ok but were flimsy and much smaller. A bottle of water was $5.00 and one cup of soda was $8.00! It did help that we got the refillable drink bottles at a lower cost when we purchased online. Even though I know prices on everything has gone up I think the food and drinks are ridiculously priced! Granted, the slices were big, but 2 slices with 2 garlic knots was $32.00! One whole pizza (5 slices) was $58.00. I've been going to The Great Escape my whole life.
